Before following a color path
No fixed answers for a blue, green or other Dragonkind dragon are established by the reports below. These are dated player experiences, not official recipes. Use colors and tail types to read your result and the black dragon guide for the separate battery claim. For color-specific help, explore black dragon reports and the dragon colors and tails guide.
A sighting is not a successful bond. Note both when comparing a shared path with your own run, and never substitute an option that the game has not offered you.
How to get a blue dragon: reported encounters
In the October 2–3 bonding discussion, Aletheia84 recalls meeting a blue in the meadow and later surviving by sheltering behind a boulder. Other replies describe blue encounters ending in death despite similar choices.
Unconfirmed: this is not a guaranteed blue dragon answer sequence. Save the exact meadow options and the response to the dragon’s attack if they appear in your run. Avoid treating a missing blue option as proof that an earlier answer was wrong.
How to get a green dragon: the two-green scene
On October 1, SpiritAny9152 remembered turning to the left green, being rejected, then standing firm when the right dragon moved its tail. They reported a green bond. In the replies, CasperAverage described similar choices followed by an orange rescue. Read both accounts.
This is why “choose left” or “choose right” is not a reliable green dragon answer on its own. Record which dragon addressed you, what you selected and the next scene. Keep your result separate from your explanation of it.
How to get a red dragon: approach reports
MoodReads’s October 2 roundup relays advice to approach a red from its left and avoid eye contact, drawing on readers’ use of the books’ lore. It does not establish a guaranteed red bond.
If a guide and your screen describe different situations, read the scene in front of you. Save the wording of the encounter before applying a remembered rule.
How to get an orange dragon: more than one report
MoodReads recounts an orange bond after a player chose orange rather than brown and roared. The October 1 two-green discussion describes an orange arriving during a green encounter instead.
These accounts put orange in different contexts. They do not prove that roaring always succeeds or that a particular earlier action guarantees rescue.
How to get a brown dragon: keep the whole encounter
The October 2 community branch list places brown alongside orange in a meadow encounter. That is an encounter report, not a measured success rate.
Keep the approach, any dialogue and the outcome together in your notes. A dragon’s presence does not by itself tell you which answer will lead to bonding. Read the card’s own color and tail labels after a successful run.
How to get a black dragon: follow the evidence
The black dragon guide covers the dated tree-shadow report, the unconfirmed 76–90% battery claim, Tairn and Codagh as book context, and what to do after a failed attempt.
Do not turn a reported encounter into a requirement for every player. The available evidence does not supply a guaranteed black route.
Make the next comparison useful
Save your attempt in the run journal: date, scenes, choices, dragon encountered and final result. A short factual record is easier to compare than a list of answers reconstructed after the run.
